Users adjust the computer screen with Windows 7 or newer versions from the Screen Resolution, Display Settings and Personalization windows menu, as of 2015. These windows can be accessed via the Control Panel or by selecting the appropriate option from the context menu after right-clicking on the desktop.
The Screen Resolution window lets users modify the resolution, select the primary display, specify screen orientation and configure how the operating system handles displaying the screen across multiple monitors. The Personalization window provides options to modify desktop themes, select desktop backgrounds and configure screen saver settings. It also lets users switch between basic and aero display modes and choose the color and transparency level of window borders.
