In computer and networking circles, a farm is a group of servers that provides applications capable of being managed as a whole unit rather than individually. A Citrix farm is a server farm made up of Citrix servers.

There are many advantages to setting up a Citrix farm, the most significant of which is ease of access and configuration for system administrators. Setting up a server farm allows administrators to configure features and settings for the entire network of servers at once rather than one at a time, because each individual server shares the same data store.

Another advantage to setting up a server farm is the ease of access to applications for users. Having each server on the same data store allows users to access more information or applications at a faster rate than if they worked on an individual server.
