To print a test page, click the Start button on your computer, and click on Devices and Printers. Right-click the Printer icon, and click on Properties. On the General tab, click Print Test Page. Before printing a test page, ensure a printer is already installed on the computer.

Another way of opening the printer in order to print a test page is by opening through the control panel. To do this, click on the Start button, select and click Control Panel, click on Printers and Other Hardware. Click on Printers and Faxes; right-click on the Printer icon, and using the drop-down menu, select Properties. Print the test page from the General tab option.

If for some reason the printer fails to print the test page, check your printer to make sure it is powered on and the connecting cables are intact. In addition, ensure that your printer has printer drivers installed and that they are compatible with your printer. Right-click on the printer icon, select Printing Preferences to check the driver settings status. You can also read through the printer’s manual or check the printer manufacturer’s website for step-by-step troubleshooting guidelines. You cannot use another company’s instructions to troubleshoot your printer.
