Print from an iPad to a wireless printer using Apple's AirPrint feature. The printer must be connected to the same wireless network as the iPad in order for AirPrint to work. The printer also needs to be AirPrint compatible. You can find a list of compatible printers on the Apple support website.

  1. Connect the printer to your wireless network

Refer to your printer's owners manual for exact instructions, but you basically need to connect it to your wireless network the same way you connect other devices. Find a Setup or Settings option, then go to the Network option. Choose your network name from the list of available options, and enter your network password when prompted.

  2. Open the app or page that you want to print

Once you are on the screen that you want to print, find an icon that looks like a square with an arrow pointing out of it, or an arrow that looks like its turning left, and tap it.

  3. Click the Print icon

Look for an icon that looks like a printer, and make your printing preference selection. After you have made your selection, press the Print button. The page is automatically sent to the printer.
