All wireless printers have the necessary port to make a direct wired connection to a laptop or desktop PC. Most wireless printers have both USB and Ethernet ports for this purpose, while a few may only have a USB port.
Connecting a laptop by wire to a wireless printer is easier because the laptop can be taken to the printer for connection. Depending upon the proximity of the desktop PC to the printer, relocating one or the other may be required or longer connection cables may be needed. If the printer has both USB and Ethernet ports, either work in this configuration.
