Fishing is allowed in Crater Lake as well as in all other waters in the Crater Lake National Park unless otherwise indicated at the location. The park is open year-round for fishing, but the winter months have some limitations due to the lack of safe access.

No license is required to fish in the Crater Lake National Park, and no limits have been set regarding the number or type of fish. However, visitors are prohibited from using organic bait; only artificial bait is allowed. Boats and other types of floating devices are also prohibited, as is cleaning the fish in the lake.
