The yorkipoo is a hybrid breed of dog created by crossbreeding the Yorkshire terrier with a poodle, usually a miniature poodle or a toy poodle. The yorkipoo is not recognized by any official dog kennels, such as the American Kennel Club, and is classified as a mutt.

The yorkipoo is a toy breed and weighs between 5 and 12 pounds. Because of their small size, they are good pets for apartment living or for seniors with less active lifestyles but may not be suitable for families with small children. This type of dog has a pleasant temperament and is lively, energetic and good-natured. The yorkipoo is also known for being one of the few breeds of dog that are hypoallergenic.

Yorkipoos were originally bred in the United States to be trainable lap dogs. Because it inconsistently takes on various traits from both the Yorkshire terrier and the poodle, there has not been enough similarities in this breed of dog's personality and look to develop a breed standard. The yorkipoo is a relatively new breed of dog, and for this reason, there isn't enough data for an average life expectancy. However, most breeders agree that they live between 12 and 15 years.
